The Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church was organized March 5, 1878 in the community known as Honeycreek in southeast Georgia. Twelve years after the emancipation of slaves, this church was planted to provide safe space for families to worship freely and live out their devotion to God. Her history involves 15 Pastors and a constructed and renovated edifice in the community where she was established. Throughout that history, the church has progressively expanded to provide more frequent opportunities to gather for worship, study, and fellowship. And Mt. Sinai will continue in that purpose, build Christian community, and advance the Kingdom of God in the earth. To the end that through her worship, work, and witness, Salvation By Grace through Faith in Christ will come to all people everywhere in all generations.
